The Role of Our Board

The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the Opportunity & Equity Foundation. Board members provide oversight, ensure financial accountability, guide organizational strategy, and serve as stewards of the foundation's mission and resources. Their commitment to equity, integrity, and community drives every decision made on behalf of the people we serve.

Krystle Rucker

Krystle Rucker is an entrepreneur, educator, community advocate, and the Founder and President of the Opportunity & Equity Foundation. Her work is rooted in one core belief: where someone starts in life should never determine how far they are able to go. Her experience in entrepreneurship, education, agriculture, community engagement, and family advocacy has shown her the difference access to the right knowledge, resources, and support can make. As the mother of special-needs triplets, Krystle has also spent years navigating educational systems, community resources, and advocacy, giving her firsthand insight into the barriers many families face. She founded the Opportunity & Equity Foundation to help close those gaps by creating opportunities that educate, equip, and empower youth, families, and neurodiverse individuals. Krystle believes a resource may help someone today, but a skill can serve them for years and be passed on to others. The goal is not simply to provide help, but to equip people with the skills and resources they need to build greater self-sufficiency, confidence, and the ability to advocate for themselves. As Founder and President, Krystle leads the Foundation’s vision, works alongside the Board of Directors, and builds partnerships with businesses, educators, sponsors, volunteers, and community organizations to ensure the mission is carried out with purpose and accountability. For Krystle, opportunity is about making sure the door exists. Equity is about making sure people have what they need to reach it, open it, and walk through it. Through the Opportunity & Equity Foundation, she invites others to help create stronger families, greater independence, and lasting change in communities.

Tracey Roberts

Tracey Roberts is a dedicated leader, community advocate, and nonprofit professional with more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources, leadership, compliance, employee development, and organizational operations. Through her work in the nonprofit sector, she has gained extensive experience supporting individuals and families while helping organizations operate effectively and serve their communities. As Vice President of the Opportunities and Equity Foundation, Tracey is passionate about promoting equity and expanding access to resources, education, employment, mentorship, and other opportunities that can help individuals and families build stronger futures. Tracey also brings experience in the medical field and is a successful business owner. Her diverse background has strengthened her skills in business management, problem-solving, advocacy, relationship-building, and leadership. She understands the importance of helping people develop the tools and confidence they need to succeed. A proud mother, Tracey is especially passionate about creating stronger opportunities for families and future generations. She is committed to using her experience and passion for service to support the Foundation's mission and contribute to meaningful change in the community.

Terri Webb

Terri brings over 20 years of experience in human resources to the board of the Opportunity and Equity Foundation, where she serves as Secretary. She currently works in Talent Acquisition within the heavy equipment industry, leading executive and technical searches and helping build out learning and development infrastructure to support workforce growth and career pathways. Terri holds a dual master's degree in Organizational Development and Human Resource Management. Her career-long focus on connecting people to opportunity extends into her community work, where she partners with schools and community organizations across Central Arkansas to expand access to career pathways for students who might not otherwise consider them. As Secretary, Terri supports board administration, including documentation and correspondence, helping ensure the organization's work is well-governed as it grows.

Miara Johnson

Miara Johnson is a founding Board member and Director of Outreach for the Opportunity & Equity Foundation. As a mother of three, she understands the importance of having access to opportunities, resources, and support that can help individuals and families build a better future. Miara cares deeply about connecting people with resources and helping them find opportunities that can make a real difference in their lives. Through the Foundation, she enjoys building relationships, engaging with the community, and helping turn opportunities into real possibilities. She is committed to being a voice in the community and helping create pathways for people to grow, succeed, and thrive.

Latoya Hicks

Latoya Hicks is an entrepreneur, healthcare professional, and marketing strategist with a passion for using creativity, technology, and thoughtful communication to strengthen organizations and the communities they serve. With a professional background in healthcare and medical coding and hands-on experience building and growing multiple businesses, Latoya brings a unique combination of strategic thinking, brand development, digital marketing, and operational problem-solving to the board. She has experience developing brands from the ground up, creating digital platforms, implementing technology and automation, and designing marketing strategies that help organizations connect with the people they are meant to serve. As Director of Marketing & Communications, Latoya is committed to expanding the organization’s visibility, strengthening its message, and helping ensure its mission reaches the families, partners, and communities who can benefit from it most. Beyond her professional work, Latoya is a wife and mother who believes deeply in creating opportunities, strengthening families, and building systems that allow people and communities to thrive.
