Our Story
Why we exist
The Opportunity & Equity Foundation is an Arkansas nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities that empower youth, families, and neurodiverse individuals through education, life skills, financial literacy, agriculture, workforce readiness, and community support initiatives. We are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, as determined by the IRS effective June 22, 2026.
We believe every individual deserves equitable access to the resources, knowledge, and support needed to learn, grow, and thrive — regardless of ability, background, or circumstance.
We were created to address the barriers that prevent individuals, families, and communities from accessing the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Through our programs — including The Bridge Conference, Life Lab, the Career Launch Initiative, the Financial Literacy Initiative, the Sustainable Living Initiative, and the Lifelong Learning Grant — we are building pathways to opportunity and working to ensure that every person has the tools, resources, and support needed to build a stable and successful future.
We are a community-driven organization, and the volunteers, donors, sponsors, and partners who give their time, talents, and resources play a vital role in growing our impact. Every contribution expands what we can do together. Our founding Board of Directors is nearly complete — we are currently seeking a Treasurer to join the board and help guide our mission and build lasting impact throughout Arkansas.
